RB Rubber Products Ballistic Series Rubber Tiles

RB Rubber Products Ballistic Series colored rubber tiles.

Rubber floor tiles used to come only in black. Owing to this, they were almost exclusively used in industrial settings where a soft flooring material was needed to help make it easier for workers who have to stand at work virtually all day. They were also used in kitchens, but only in commercial kitchens.

Things have changed however. You can now find rubber floor tiles in practically any color you choose. They also come with different designs. Some have embossed circles, others are flecked, and still others are grooved. Increasingly, rubber tiles are finding their way into private kitchens.

This is not really surprising considering their numerous advantages. Apart from being easy on your knees and feet, they also prevent slipping, a feature important in a kitchen where oil, water, or spices are likely to get spilled. There is also the greater chance of falling glass or ceramic plate not breaking if its falls on the floor because of rubber’s shock absorbing qualities. Cleaning is likewise a breeze. A good mopping with a damp cloth usually suffices.

All these qualities can be seen in the RB Rubber Products Ballistic Series Rubber Tiles. The tiles are offered in three colors –red, green, and black. Unlike vinyl tiles whose top color differs from that of the main body, the colors of the Ballistic rubber tiles are the same throughout their thickness. This means that if it is scratched, you will still be seeing the same color as that of the surface.

The tiles measure two square feet, with a thickness of 1.5 inch. With this thickness, you are assured of their strength and durability, and, of course, of their cushioning capability. You can stand on them for hours while preparing your meals and not worry about straining your knees and feet.

Decorated with parallel grooves running vertically and horizontally, the tiles are divided into nine equal squares. These give the tiles character as they break the monotony of a plain floor. You can even mix tiles two colors alternating them with each other for a checkerboard look.
